A note from the Editor

The snowboard season is nearly over, with slush riding, drinks in the sun, topping up on tans and plenty of barby's to attend. Friends are all starting to head in their opposite directions, some to the southern hemisphere, NZ or Costa Rica, some further North, Oregon or Alaska, but for me it's back to Blighty. It's been a great season and there has been plenty of blood, sweat and tears, but all in the name of FUN. Let's hope the summer brings just as much as the winter.


ORANGE BRITS ON CHANNEL 4
The 2006 Orange British Snowboard and Freestyle Ski Championships on Channel 4 this Saturday April 15 at 7.30am. It's a little early for a Saturday morning start so if you miss it there will be a second showing on Saturday May 23 from 12.30 to 01.00am. The show will be introduced by the infamous Ed Leigh.


GRETCHEN BLEILER SIGNS NEW CONTRACT
Olympic silver medalist Gretchen Bleiler has signed a new three-year contract as an International Pro Team member. She’s been on the team since 1993 and is also a member of the K2 Snowboarding Women’s Alliance. For more information check out http://www.powderroom.net/news.php?region=us/canada


JENNY JONES
Jenny Jones seems to be the number 1 British Snowboarder killing it right now. Not only did she take second place at the Roxy Jam in St Moritz, with some solid Bs 5s and cab 5s, she also came 2nd in the Women's TTR. Not too far behind the untouchable Cheryl Maas. Jenny is undoubtably amongst one of the best female snowboarders on the world!


MISS SUPERPARK
One last snow event for the season! Billabong Girls organises the Miss Superpark in Mammoth, Colorado, May 8 to 10, 2006... it isn't a contest, it is a jam session for all the best female pro snowboarders to get together with no pressure, push the boundaries, and shoot some epic photos and film.
Jess Sutton American pro rider and friend of Rag Doll Mag has herself a ticket and will be keeping us updated with any news!


OUR CAMP
Are you looking to develop you freestyle riding next winter, then maybe Our Camp can help. British pro riders Gilly Seagrave, Emma-Lea Rogers and Sonia Shaw have joined forces to form a series of camps that will run in the French Alps with plans to hold some in the U.K snow domes through the summer.
